The independent year
After a decade inside product companies, I went independent. The core of the work was website revitalization: rebuilding client sites on modern stacks — Next.js, React, TypeScript — with measurable performance, SEO, and traffic gains on every engagement. Not redesigns for their own sake; rebuilds that had to justify themselves in the numbers.
Owning the whole lifecycle
Every engagement ran end to end: scoping, build, launch, and post-launch support, on time and in budget. API and integration projects ran in Agile/Scrum with timelines and risk managed in Jira, and each build tightened the client's security and compliance posture along the way. When you are the entire team, there is nowhere for an unclear requirement or an optimistic estimate to hide — so you learn to surface both early.
What it set up
The year sharpened two things at once: full-lifecycle delivery instincts, and depth in the modern React stack that the next role would demand at platform scale. It ended with joining Brytecore in September 2024.
